This year has been really weird for lots of reasons. Our lab work ground to a halt during the first lockdown brought on by COVID-19, and since our work has resumed we have had limited capacity in the lab, and we have had to maintain strict social distancing, adhere to capacity limits in different rooms, and wear masks throughout the hospital and labs. However, we weren't going to let this stop us from having a Christmas party! On Tuesday December 15th, the TVPLab gathered on Zoom in Christmas hats and jumpers to have some coffee/hot chocolate together! A few of us then joined the IMS Christmas events, such as wreath making and the 'Midwinter Cabaret' (not as racy as it sounds...!). It was definitely very different to our normal parties, but lovely nonetheless! We hope we will be able to get together in person in the New Year.
