Our cardiometabolic lab at the new Cambridge Heart Lung Research Institute (HLRI) is open!!!

We chose the hottest day of the decade to open up our cardiometabolic lab at the new Cambridge Heart Lung Research Institute (HLRI). This is a great opportunity to innovate through colocalisation with our colleagues from the cardiovascular department as well as our colleagues from Papworth Hospital. This is part of our strategy to capture the strengths of the Institute of Metabolic Science and the HLRI in obesity, diabetes and associated cardiovascular complications by bringing together a critical mass of researchers with expertise in the domain of cardiometabolic research, one of the key themes of the BHF Centre of Excellence in Cambridge. For the TVPLab is a bit of overstretching but worth it given the potential for innovation and competitiveness. Here with my colleague Sonia Rodriguez Fernandez who is leading our efforts at HLRI.
