Mphil student

About me:

  • I am currently undertaking the MPhil in Obesity, Endocrinology and Metabolism at the Institute of Metabolic Science, University of Cambridge. I completed my undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at the University of Bristol, which I tailored toward biomolecular processes. Within the TVP Lab, I am now applying this expertise to the field of metabolism, particularly within the context of adipose tissue.

Research interests:

  • Broadly, I am interested in researching the potential of dietary interventions to improve metabolic health and their underlying mechanisms. I am currently investigating the mechanisms behind the effect of Hippurate on white adipose tissue (WAT). Longer term, I am interested in investigating the physiological role of varied fatty acid saturation and oxidation states and their biochemical implications, helping to deepen our understanding of nuanced causes and effects in metabolic dysfunction.
