About me

I am a Research Assistant in the TVP Lab, where I contribute to research investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying metabolic dysfunction and its role in the development of chronic diseases. My current work focuses on dissecting nutrient signalling pathways and metabolic processes, with the aim of identifying therapeutic targets and informing prevention strategies.

My academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Northumbria University, followed by a Master's in Molecular Biomedicine at the University of Copenhagen. Throughout my studies and research, I have been driven by a deep interest in the connection between diet and health. This has led me to explore how dietary patterns influence metabolic and immune function, with particular attention to nutritional immunology and host-microbe interactions in the gut.

I bring expertise in animal models—especially mouse models of gut-related diseases—and a strong foundation in molecular biology techniques. My goal is to bridge metabolic science and human health by contributing to diet-centred approaches that address the root causes of chronic disease.
