Dr. Adrian Yu-Hung Lin, MD

About me

After graduating from the medical school, I entered the field of surgery and trained as a liver transplant and bariatric surgeon in Taiwan. My primary clinical work focuses on liver transplantation, laparoscopic bariatric/metabolic surgery and minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery.

Research Interests

After several years of surgery practice, obesity and fatty liver have become the topics I want to investigate. My current research focuses on the link between thermogenesis, energy expenditure, and obesity. Skeletal muscle is the one of the most important contributors of metabolic rate and thermogenesis. With the alteration in skeletal muscle, subjects might be cold intolerant, and metabolically suppressed. I am studying the associated mechanisms in physiological and molecular level.
